In 2013 iAM were engaged to review and update the BDO art collection in preparation for the move to their new premises at 12 Creek Street, Brisbane.
BDO’s art collection reflects their strong connection to Queensland. There is a dialogue in the collection that is not limited to where the artists resides or is originally from, but themes that resonate to connect with BDO’s cultural identity and create a sense of place.
The collection features series of works by prominent Australian artists including: John Coburn, David Bromley, Graham Fransella, Daniel Templeman and Carl Warner.Individual and significant commissions by contemporary artists Jodie Cox, Sue Beyer and Carol McGregor trace history, nature and place through their use of pattern to reveal the Brisbane River and streets of Brisbane’s CBD.
BDO’s art collection is evolving and it depicts a strength and resilience through its ongoing commitment to contemporary art.
