Kenji Uranishi was selected to create a series of sculptural forms for the Entry Foyer of the Chester and Ella residential development, Newstead.
Drawing inspiration from nature, Kenji’s rolled stainless steel floral forms are capped with his hand crafted porcelain elements, creating a captivating unison of unlikely materials – yet the outcome is outstanding. The artworks are finished with an array of sublime pastels and lighting components, providing a striking impact to the foyer space during both day and night.
“I’m interested in, and influenced by, architecture and nature, and how people interact with both. Simple insights into everyday life become an inspiration for my work—people, time, relationships and actions.” Kenji Uranishi
